The \u201cgreat light\u201d prophesied by Isaiah in today\u2019s text is echoed in the first strains of John\u2019s Gospel good news: the light that brings peace\u2013that saves the people from all that would extinguish it\u2013has been there from the beginning. The Word is made flesh and dwells among us. This reign is now\u2026 will we believe it?
